Skilled Occupation List (SOL) and Consolidated Skilled Occupation List (CSOL) from 1 July 2016

Source: Legislative Instrument - IMMI 16/059 - F2016L00800 - Migration Regulations 1994 - Specification of Occupations, a Person or Body, a Country or Countries specifies changes to the occupations on the SOL and CSOL from 1 July 2016:

SOL is being used for 189, 485 and 489 (family sponsored) visas

CSOL is being used for 190, 489 (state nominated), 186, 457, 402 visas

SOL = Schedule 1

CSOL = Schedule 1 + Schedule 2

Changes coming in force on 1 July 2016:

Migration Agents Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct for registered migration agents is set out in legislation to regulate the conduct of registered migration agents (direct link here). 

It prescribes obligations of migration agents towards their clients.

Provision for a Code of Conduct for migration agents is set out in Section 314 of the Migration Act 1958 and is prescribed in Schedule 2, Regulation 8 of the Migration Agents Regulations 1998.
