Definitions:

health workforce certificate means a certificate that:

                     (a)  sets out:

                              (i)  the name and date of birth of a nominee; and

                             (ii)  the position in relation to which the person is a nominee; and

                            (iii)  the location of that position; and

                     (b)  specifies one of the following occupations:

                              (i)  general practitioner;

                             (ii)  resident medical officer;

                            (iii)  medical practitioners (nec); and

                     (c)  is issued by one of the following:

                              (i)  NSW Rural Doctors Network Ltd (ABN 52 081 388 810);

                             (ii)  Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria Limited (ABN 31 081 163 519);

                            (iii)  Health Workforce Queensland Ltd (ABN 81 065 574 996);

                            (iv)  Western Australian Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine Ltd (ABN 29 123 188 367);

                             (v)  Rural Doctors Workforce Agency Incorporated (ABN 68 063 926 518);

                            (vi)  General Practice Workforce Inc (ABN 33 922 612 254);

                           (vii)  Health Network Northern Territory Ltd (ABN 17 158 970 480);

                          (viii)  the Department administered by the Minister administering Part II of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

international trade obligation means an obligation of Australia under international law that relates to international trade, including such an obligation that arises under any agreement between Australia and another country or other countries.

limited service restaurant includes the following:

                     (a)  a fast food or takeaway food service;

                     (b)  a fast casual restaurant;

                     (c)  a drinking establishment that offers only a limited food service;

                     (d)  a limited service cafe, including a coffee shop or mall cafe;

                     (e)  a limited service pizza restaurant.

university lecturer includes the following:

                     (a)  a research associate in a university;

                     (b)  a research fellow in a university.

Definitions:

health workforce certificate means a certificate that:

                     (a)  sets out:

                              (i)  the name and date of birth of an identified person; and

                             (ii)  the position in relation to which the person is an identified person; and

                            (iii)  the location of that position; and

                     (b)  specifies one of the following occupations:

                              (i)  general practitioner;

                             (ii)  resident medical officer;

                            (iii)  medical practitioners (nec); and

                     (c)  is issued by one of the following:

                              (i)  NSW Rural Doctors Network Ltd (ABN 52 081 388 810);

                             (ii)  Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria Limited (ABN 31 081 163 519);

                            (iii)  Health Workforce Queensland Ltd (ABN 81 065 574 996);

                            (iv)  Western Australian Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine Ltd (ABN 29 123 188 367);

                             (v)  Rural Doctors Workforce Agency Incorporated (ABN 68 063 926 518);

                            (vi)  General Practice Workforce Inc (ABN 33 922 612 254);

                           (vii)  Health Network Northern Territory Ltd (ABN 17 158 970 480);

                          (viii)  the Department administered by the Minister administering Part II of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

 

international trade obligation means an obligation of Australia under international law that relates to international trade, including such an obligation that arises under any agreement between Australia and another country or other countries.

limited service restaurant includes the following:

                     (a)  a fast food or takeaway food service;

                     (b)  a fast casual restaurant;

                     (c)  a drinking establishment that offers only a limited food service;

                     (d)  a limited service cafe, including a coffee shop or mall cafe;

                     (e)  a limited service pizza restaurant.

university lecturer includes the following:

                     (a)  a research associate in a university;

                     (b)  a research fellow in a university.

The assessing authority for:

                     (a)  a physicist (other than a medical physicist) is VETASSESS; and

                     (b)  a medical physicist is ACPSEM.

Definitions:

health workforce certificate means a certificate that:

                     (a)  sets out:

                              (i)  the name and date of birth of an identified person; and

                             (ii)  the position in relation to which the person is an identified person; and

                            (iii)  the location of that position; and

                     (b)  specifies one of the following occupations:

                              (i)  general practitioner;

                             (ii)  resident medical officer;

                            (iii)  medical practitioners (nec); and

                     (c)  is issued by one of the following:

                              (i)  NSW Rural Doctors Network Ltd (ABN 52 081 388 810);

                             (ii)  Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria Limited (ABN 31 081 163 519);

                            (iii)  Health Workforce Queensland Ltd (ABN 81 065 574 996);

                            (iv)  Western Australian Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine Ltd (ABN 29 123 188 367);

                             (v)  Rural Doctors Workforce Agency Incorporated (ABN 68 063 926 518);

                            (vi)  General Practice Workforce Inc (ABN 33 922 612 254);

                           (vii)  Health Network Northern Territory Ltd (ABN 17 158 970 480);

  • Skills in Demand Visa (SID) To Be Introduced on 07 December 2024

    3.12.2024

    The Department of Home Affairs announced that SID visa will replace 482 visa on 07 December 2024.

    The new Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL) was also released and will apply to the Core Skills stream of the new Skills in Demand visa and also to 186 Direct Entry stream visa.

  • 189NZ Requirements Relaxation - 10 December 2022

    Applicants are not required to satisfy the New Zealand stream specific criteria relating to a period of residence in Australia, minimum taxable income and health. In addition, family members of primary applicants who made a Subclass 189 (Skilled – Independent) visa application in the New Zealand stream prior to the commencement of the Amendment Regulations are also not required to satisfy the health criteria. This applies to only already lodged application before 10 December 2022. More info in the legislative update summary

Migration Agents Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct for registered migration agents is set out in legislation to regulate the conduct of registered migration agents. 

The Code of Conduct:

(a) protects clients of migration agents; and

(b) strengthens the integrity of the immigration advice industry and Australia’s immigration system.


Provision for a Code of Conduct for migration agents is set out in Section 314 of the Migration Act 1958.
