  • Senate Overturns Regulations

    25.9.2014

    Canberra 25 September 2014:

    The Senate overturned Government decision to repeal certain family visas. It means a huge relief for less affluent parents of Australian residents and citizens who couldn't afford contributory parent visas.

    In additions, some relatives of Aussie residents will be pleased to hear that Aged dependent relative, Carer and Remaining relative visas are available again. More here.



  • 462 Work and Holiday Visa for Portugal

    25.9.2014

    On 25 September 2014, Australia and Portugal announced that a new Work and Holiday arrangement for youth mobility was signed, establishing a reciprocal Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) arrangement between our two countries. More info here

Migration Agents Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct for registered migration agents is set out in legislation to regulate the conduct of registered migration agents. 

The Code of Conduct:

(a) protects clients of migration agents; and

(b) strengthens the integrity of the immigration advice industry and Australia’s immigration system.


Provision for a Code of Conduct for migration agents is set out in Section 314 of the Migration Act 1958.
